"The future is unwritten." - Joe Strummer
When we pathologize, we create limits.
Ever been told so often that you can’t or will or should or shouldn’t do something that it becomes your default pattern?

I began my education career in the early 2000s as a reporter covering budget and school board meetings for local newspapers. I gained respect for those who involved students in all aspects of the community. When local newspapers died out, I provided marketing and public relations support to educational nonprofits and that’s when my longtime dream of teaching took shape.
In 2012 I started teaching online and went back to school to earn a doctorate in online education, leadership, and community all while working full time in higher education at both the undergraduate and graduate level. I was able to learn and APPLY theory to test what worked related to program design and evaluation, teaching and learning, and online communities.
I currently teach online courses on program design and evaluation, interdisciplinary studies, critical inquiry, and writing. I also provide expertise in online community development, online education, and program development. I learned from some amazing people, and have hard-won knowledge to share.
I open my consulting calendar in the late fall (aligned with budget cycles) and accept only two educational clients a year.
